When I purchased my barrister bookcase it came with this base but it was too narrow for my stack. So I replaced it with another base that better matched my stack. It fit the opening on my Globe-Wernicke stack, however, I cannot verify the manufacturer and there are no Globe-Wernicke markings that I could find. Please verify measurements before purchasing. It has some cosmetic wear, scratches and finish loss consistent with age. Structurally solid and would make a good replacement or restoration piece.
