The IKEA Detolf shelf system comes with 3 shelves at fixed heights. These clips allow you to place shelves at any desired height, and/or add more shelves by using your own glass or board. Each set comes with 4 clips, enough to install 1 shelf. These clips are designed to insert into the 6mm posts of the shelf. They can easily support up to 20 pounds. Click Here for our Silver set INSTALLATION Hardware is included for each clip. (1x 8-32 x 5/8″ screw, 1x 8-32 nut) Insert the 8-32 nut all the way into the hole in the clip, making sure the sides align. Insert the clip into position on the shelf post. Use the Phillips driver to drive the 8-32 x 5/8″ screw through the hole on the side of the clip opposite of the nut. The screw should thread through the material and drive into the nut. It should clamp into place around the post.
