Hanging Wall Shelf 112B

This is a pair of wall shelves, Model 112B designed in 1936 by Aino and Alvar Aalto for Artek. This is an early and important pair, and is rarely seen in the American marketplace. The shelves are formed with bent birch brackets, which can be placed both below and above the panel, serving as bookends.The top surface of the shelves is birch veneer. The listed price includes 2 shelves as shown. Each shelf measures 35 inches in width, 10.6 inches in length, and 9.6 inches in tall. The pieces remain original and the birch has taken on a warm glow from time and use. Please see photos.
